Found was designed to remember your objects without compromising your privacy. This policy clearly explains what data is used and why.
1. Data we process
Found processes the information you choose to save: object name, room, location, description, keywords, photo, and modification date. A profile photo may also be stored if you add one.
The app does not ask for your real identity, home address, or geographic location.
2. Photo analysis
When you request detection, the photo is securely transmitted to the Found service hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure, then to OpenAI’s artificial intelligence service to identify objects and context. The request uses Apple security verification when available.
Found requests that the analysis response not be stored by the model. Photos are never used by Found for advertising or profiling.
3. Storage and iCloud
Objects and optimized photos are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud, they are synchronized in your private iCloud space across compatible devices. Apple provides and secures this service under your iCloud account terms.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Found receives only the information needed to verify Premium entitlement and never receives your payment details.
5. Retention and deletion
You can delete individual objects or erase all data from the app. Complete deletion removes objects, photos, preferences, and synchronized data accessible to Found. Apple technical backups may follow their own retention periods.
6. Sharing and advertising
Found does not sell, rent, or share your data for targeted advertising. Technical service providers receive only the data required for analysis, synchronization, and purchases.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Most of these actions are directly available in Found. For questions, use the Help & support page.
8. Changes
This policy may evolve to reflect changes to Found or legal requirements. The update date will always appear on this page.
